Chard with Parmesan Cheese
Wash
and cut the stems off at base of leaf.
Cut the stem into 2” lengths.
Cut the leaves into 2” strips.
Blanch stems for about 3 minutes in boiling, salted water. Add leaves and
blanch 1-2 more minutes.
Drain. Preheat oven to 450
degrees. Put stems and leaves in a
baking dish. Season lightly with salt and pepper. Pour 2-3 Tablespoons of melted butter
over all, tossing to coat. Sprinkle 1/4-1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese on top and bake for 10
minutes.
