Hands-on Learning with Field Trips/Tours at Cane Creek Farm
Cane Creek Farm, a local farm, offers fresh produce
grown using sustainable farming practices
without the use of chemical fertilizers or pesticides.
Field trips for children in kindergarten
through 3rd grade will provide a hands-on learning
experience that supports the Georgia Performance
Standards.
Take a guided tour of the 17 acres and see crops
of vegetables, fruits, herbs, and flowers. Smell
the aromas of an herb garden, and learn what a
hoop house and greenhouse are for. See a flock
of gentle sheep, and pet Lady the horse. Navigate
a corn maze, and listen to the buzzing of
bees working to make honey in their busy hives.
The farm is a wonderful place to bring your students
to learn.
